FITNESS IN MOTION

What’s the most fun way to exercise?

Every morning, soon after I get out of bed, I do 200 pushups, 200 situps, 20–30 pullups, and 20–30 handstand pushups.

I think, though, that your question may have been referring more to a workout routine. I regularly incorporate pullups, air squats, and burpees in my workouts.

I love these 3 exercises because they are easy to do. I don’t have to throw a weight around; it’s just me against my head.

These exercises give incredible muscle tone and cardio results; depending on how short the rest is (it could be no rest), they are more difficult. You can get your heartbeat rocking in a very short amount of time.

If I could do only three exercises for the rest of my life, I would choose those three.

I regularly do pushups, air squats, and rowing machines for similar reasons: They are easy to do, can be done anywhere (except the rowing), and also give a great return for a short investment of time.

If l  could only do three exercises for the rest of my life, l would choose the pushups, air squats, and the rowing machine.

While I’m here to share some thoughts and insights about getting active and moving your body, remember that I’m not a medical pro, so it’s important to set the stage with a disclaimer.

Everything I write or talk about I have done in the past or am currently actively doing.

Exercise is frikkin awesome for your mind, body, and spirit. It will affect your entire life. Everyone’s journey is unique, just like every athlete’s training routine.

So, while I’m all about giving you my thoughts and perspective and inspiring you to lace up your sneakers and exercise, I don’t know each of your circumstances and consulting with a certified healthcare professional. Or better yet, just doing your research with Google before starting any new fitness regimen is just a damn good idea.

Your health is your top asset; working to optimize it for maximum performance. So, listen to your body, honour your limits, and always seek professional Google guidance when in doubt.

    Game on, my friends
